Japan has a new sporty icon: since its first appearance Nissan GT-R, the well-known multi-dimensional performance machine, has amazed for its thoroughbred performance and for its incredible balance between power and driving versatility.

Born and designed to become a symbol of the Japanese sportiness tradition and to celebrate Nissan’s long experience in creating wonderful supercars, Nissan GT-R has bewitched the entire world.

The muscular but refined lines of its body enfold a mechanical heart delivering outstanding performance:  a hand-made 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 engine producing 485 PS and 588 Nm, eclectic and easy to drive even for non professional pilots.

It has been said about GT-R that it’s “one of the fastest cars in the world”: 7’:26” 70 was its last record lap time on Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany, on April 2009.

Now, GT-R has achieved another important goal. As a matter of fact, GT-R is not only “one of the fastest sporty car”, but it is officially “the fastest four seater production car in the world in terms of acceleration” (0-100km in 3.5 seconds).

Thanks to this result, recorded during the previous incredible lap time achieved by Nissan’s supercar in April 2008 on Nürburgring circuit, Nissan could officially register GT-R in the Guinness World Records. This is only the last eminent award won by GT-R (more than a dozen awards globally).

Nissan has kept its word. And GT-R has turned into a legend.
